Working for Action Performance was like being a kid in a toy factory—except the toys were race cars, legendary drivers, and high-octane marketing. As a lifelong race fan, getting the chance to work on some of my idols’ designs, advertising, and branding felt like I had died and gone to racing heaven.
When I was tasked with introducing the CART Racing Series, I knew the campaign needed to capture the speed, adrenaline, and energy of the sport. The final design brought the drivers and cars to life with a sense of motion so dynamic that the posters felt like they were racing at full throttle—even while standing still.
This campaign launched nationwide, appearing in over 30 major publications, including Men’s Health, GQ, Field & Stream, and Sports Illustrated. The results? CART Racing series sales shattered expectations, selling out faster than any other series—even surpassing NASCAR.
